Everyday From Right Now: Chapter 13

Chapter 13

Here we are, kids. The chapter everyone’s been asking me about. Not a whole lot of commentary on this one, but its important stuff:

-- The death of Fred Weasley in Deathly Hallows caught me totally of guard and quite honestly shook me up the hardest. I mean, c’mon, to take down half of the once indestructible Weasley twins!? I thought they would be safe after George lost his ear, that after that, Jo would be done messing with them. And then for it to happen so quickly and in what should’ve been a moment of peace…I was quite honestly a wreck over it.

So this was obviously going to be a tough chapter for me to write, not in the least because I wanted to do Fred justice, but because it also was a step I had to take so that I could find my closure on it. Trust me, lol, I went through all the stages of grief for Fred…and with this chapter was my acceptance.I wrote this how I saw it happening. Friends and family speaking, some tears yes, but still some laughs for the one who got us laughing in the first place. So whether or not this was the sort of ceremony you wanted or expected or needed…I hope you can at least accept it as another version of the funeral. But it fit for me and quite honestly, I think it fit for Fred too.

-- Hugs to Percy, Ron, and George for being brilliant brothers! *huggles* I liked playing with those three’s speeches and emotions and I think they did quite awesome.

-- On a fun fact, side note….…you know what song came up on shuffle when I wrote this chapter? Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up.” *is ded* I very nearly had to change the song, lol! I was already teary enough, but this nearly sent me off the cliff of emotion like you wouldn’t believe. But I stuck it out and I think it translated well into the mood of the story. It started as soon as Percy stood up and ended when Ron sat down, way too eerily fitting

-- And can you believe that this is only the fourth day that I’ve covered in the story!? And it’s not even over yet, as next chapter gives lots of information about what more has been going on since Voldemort’s fall. What does this mean for everyone, and most importantly, Ron and Hermione? Well, lol, I would suggest you keep reading and see. ;)

Good news, Bad news time. The good news is that I was able to find extra writing time this week, and have begun catching up on the other chapters. The bad news that is that as of right now, I don’t know if it’s quite enough to get Ch. 14 to you next week.

If I can complete the chapter I’m working on now, and perhaps start the next one, then you’ll have your update on November 2nd (omg, Nov. already!). But if not, it’d be Nov. 9th. And if it is on the 9th, I’ll be dumping three deleted scenes on you over the extended wait.

Just wish me luck, patience, and time, lol, and we’ll see if it can be up next week. ‘Til next post. :D

p.s. I got this random thought of changing the title today. …Thoughts on that anyone?
